You've surely heard this word used in many different ways. Some refer to non-Christians as Pagans, others- such as Wiccans and various earth religions- proudly identify as Pagan. So what does it mean? Well as there is no proper consensus, "paganism" can intelligibly be traced back through history. Come join us for a discussion as we break some stereotypes and shed some light.
Some thoughts:
Some believe the term first existed to describe non-Christians who's practices seemed rustic or old-fashioned (non-Western). Others believe that "pagans" first referred to civilians as opposed to the military elites. Yet regardless of the original meaning, many today who identify as Pagan, follow earth-bound belief systems such as Wiccan, Witchcraft or Druidism.
We will discuss the beliefs and practices of these religions and spiritual traditions that are too often stereotyped wrongly and so discredited
There are some exceptional recourses in the pre-ToT section to the left.
